UNDER THE RADIATION EXPOSURE COMPENSATION ACT (“RECA”)
The RECA program allows for in-home healthcare services to be provided to qualified beneficiaries. The CNS team of experienced nurses specialize in caring for workers who had work related exposures and suffer from illnesses contracted in the uranium industry (Miners, Millers, and Haulers) during the Cold War. This high level of care comes at no cost to the eligible individual. Many former uranium workers suffer from serious medical conditions such as various cancers, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Silicosis, and Pneumoconiosis, to identify a few.
Department of Energy (“DOE”) Contractors & Subcontractors
UNDER THE ENERGY EMPLOYEES ILLNESS COMPENSATION PROGRAM ACT (“EEOICPA”)
Since 2006, CNS has been providing its no cost in-home healthcare services to eligible beneficiaries under the EEOICPA, many of whom suffer from chronic diseases such as cancer, chronic Beryllium Disease, Sarcoidosis, Asbestosis, Mesothelioma, Parkinson’s disease, occupational Asthma, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Silicosis, COPD, and Pneumoconiosis all caused by work-related exposure at one of the covered DOE work sites.
UNDER THE DIVISION OF COAL MINE WORKERS COMPENSATION (“DCMWC”)
CNS also provides services to former coal miners who suffer from Coal Miners’ Pneumoconiosis and who are eligible for such services under the DCMWC, also known as the “Black Lung Program.” This specialized care comes at no cost to eligible individual with no deductibles or co-payments. All services are provided in the comfort and privacy of their own home.
